Instagram How to Delete Instagram Account

In this section, we'll discuss how to delete Instagram account. The first step is to prepare before deleting / removing your data. If you choose only to deactivate your Instagram account - your data will still be saved on Instagram's servers but will not be public. However, if you choose to delete your Instagram data it will completely be removed forever (we hope ;)

1. Go to Your Instagram Profile
2. Click on the Settings Icon
3. Click on Privacy and Security
4. Click on 'Request Download' under 'Data Download'
5. Select 'HTML' under 'Information Format'
6. Click on Next
7. Enter Your Password and Click on 'Request Download'
8. Click on 'Download Information'
9. Wait for an Email from Instagram and Download the Information
10. Repeat Steps 1 - 4
11. Select 'JSON' under 'Information Format'
12. Repeat Steps 6 - 9
13. Create a Folder in Your FBGraveyard under Instagram with Your Account Name and Add the 2 Folders You Downloaded

To Temporarily Disable

14. Go to Profile and Click on Edit Profile
15. Click on Temporarily disable my account
16. Select Concerned about my data from Why are you disabling your account?
17. Enter Password and Click on Temporarily Disable Account
18. Click on Yes

To Permanently Delete

19. Go to Instagram's Deletion Request Page
20. Click on Concerned about my data from Why do you want to delete {account_name}?
21. Enter Your Password and Click Delete {account_name}

Unzip the package and rename the folder to {current_date}_HTML

10. Repeat Steps 1 - 4

11. Select 'JSON' under 'Information Format'

12. Repeat Steps 6 - 9

Unzip the package and this time rename the folder to {current_date}_JSON

13. Create a Folder in Your FBGraveyard under Instagram with Your Account Name and Add the 2 Folders You Downloaded

14. Go to Profile and Click on Edit Profile

15. Click on Temporarily disable my account

16. Select Concerned about my data from Why are you disabling your account?

17. Enter Password and Click on Temporarily Disable Account

18. Click on Yes

For Permenant Deletion Follow Steps 19 - 21

19. Go to Instagram's Deletion Request Page

20. Click on Concerned about my data from Why do you want to delete {account_name}?

21. Enter Your Password and Click Delete {account_name}
